My workstation at Top Wind in London is a special place for the work

that is needed to repair and service traditional and classical flutes in their best sounding condition.

I have been repairing flutes since 1975 and I was "one of the original four" when Top Wind first

opened in 1991. I went back to Germany in 1993, gaining a further 12 years of

experience. Since 2005 I have returned to my friends at TOP Wind.

My experience has allowed me to discover new technique to keep flautist and their flutes

sounding their best.

I was the first repairer to use the well-known Straubinger TM pads for my unique re pad

service outside of the USA which helped make the Straubinger pad popular with many other

repairers in  Europe.

These pads are now used by many different flute makers such as Brannen,

Muramatsu and Miyazawa.
